The Future that I hope

Hi everyone!

I think that when I will be 28 years old, I will be doing amazing things. When someone ask me that I thinking in my future, I imagine that like a proyect. And it is because I see the plan of my life like my most precious proyect.

Florence, Italy

I see me with 10 years more old, having a step life in a cute european city like Florence. I will being architect, and I will design public spaces for a lot of citys. I will travel occasionally and I will have visited the best magic spaces of world. Probabbly I will live with some friend in an appartament. I would like have a cat, because I don't imagine me without a pet. I will travel to home, here in Chile always to see my family. Maybe I  will have a boyfriend, maybe can be the same boyfriend that I have today, but he will know that my natural life is be traveling, and he will accompany me if he want it. This it's won't be hard because the planes will be more tecnologics, sophisticated and fast. And if he lives in other european country, we will use an amazing fast train that is between of the buildings.

Long Weekend

The last weekend, I went out specially more than a normal weekend. First, on friday  two friends called me and we got together. This was my first time in "Bella" ( or Bellavista) and I can say that I had a nice little while. Then, I came back to home early because I had a big homework, but when I tried read an architecture book, I sleeped.

On saturday morning I visited my boyfriend and then he invited me to had lunch. On afternoon I try to read again but I sleeped too. So, the time was running out. At nigth I can think a little more about my workshop assignment.

The procastination

Hi everyone!

In my free post I choose write about the procastination, bacause recently, this is a normal happening in my life. And the most of people could say me that it's a tragic event, but today I will defend it. Maybe because it suits me, but also, because I have discovered interesting things about different aspects with this.

When I sit in front to the computer screen for start to work, maybe to write the blogs, or to do some homework, it's likely that I see a video in youtube, or visit facebook before. Yes, I don't think that it's a ideal start. Many times this is a waste of time. But other times, I discover a nice song, I learn to healthy food, a new recipe, etc. 

I think that dicipline it's necessary, but when we "distracted", really we are doing that thing that we want. If we don't amuse with that we do, so maybe we don't like enough. Or we can't see what brings us it. Because, I don't enjoy make the bed, but I need that to sleep warm.

This make me think that we all should do that thigs that make us crazy, at least most of the time, and learn to go crazy with the simple thing.

My first CD

Really, I'm not a big music fan, and this is draw attention very much of my circle, because apparently, most of people can't live without music. But I yet remember when I was a girl, with eight years old maybe, and bought a CD of Kudai. My brother usually was buying games in the fair, nearby of our house. So, one day I went to buy this CD of my favourite band in that time, to the same man that was selling him the games.

I remember so clearly this afternoon, listening  every song in the old radio of my grandma. Also the songs, I adored put on the radio, insert the CD and dial the number of the song.

Long weekend

Trattoria Calypso

Hi everyone!



Simon ask us that we write about a good restaurant. So I will talk to Calypso, where you can eat italian food and enjoy a really beautiful landscape. It's located in El manzano, Cajón del Maipo. The meals served are mainly pastas with many different sauces and the delicious stone-baked pizzas.
The last time that I went was the last summer and always I go with my family. While the cost it's more or less expensive, the pizza it's a cheaper option because is big enough that shared among 3 or 4 diners. And almost always, with my family feel the need to ordering the same dessert, "The cake Calypso". You most taste it if you have the opportunity, and surely you will remember me.
 
The second thing that I love of Calypso, first it's the food (obviously), it's that you can take a walk after eat, play soccer, look and petting the ponys that lives there, take a boat ride in a small lagoon or take a nap in a hammock. All that into the yard of the restaurant and in the midst of nature.
By last, and for you don't let go, I must tell you that there they will attend you great. The owners are a italian family, all very friendly and some of them could ask your order or prepare your drink.

El Canelo beach

Today I will write about a nice beach, that I have visited many times. It is located in Algarrobo, Valparaiso rgion, and is named El Canelo. This is not a common and current beach because before to arrive and touch the sand, you must climb down a forest. It's a bautiful and leafy forest. I don´t sure about the name of the trees that is there, but it's a type of pine. Also, in the forest you can found greats viewpoints toward sea. Really this beach is´t so big and is common that it was coollapsed in summer, but anyway I like so much. In generally I go there, and others nearby beaches, whit my family for the summer holydays. But I have go a couple of time with friends.
When I go, I like walk in the forest, appreciate the landscape, eat the fritter that you can buy in the entry, and too if day is hot, I like swim crossing the waves up buoys.

The must beautiful country

I will tell you  how is the  country that I want visit and why. Since I began to think about travel and know the world, I really fascinated whit one country: Italy. And this is for three reasons; the historical richness of art, the food and the landscape. I am really enthusiastic to walk the street and visit the museums when born the renacentist art. Specially Florencia, a wonderful city located in the north of Italy's central region, is consider the cradle world of art and architecture. About other reason, I am absolutly loved of italian food, and their culture about this. I had tasted a varius preparations and their cookery, sweet or salted, captivated me. Also, the ambient that their generated around the meals is valuable. They are so attached of family and they usually meet to eat or cooking together.
Finally I like the landspaces (that I can view in webs) because in some citys the natural scenery is intacts and rally beautiful. And the urban spaces are beautiful too, they have a great architecture and it is noted that exist a awareness of the urbanization, keeping some scale and that things.
When I have the oportunity of travel to Italy, I would like go to Florencia, Paris, Roma, Venecia and others. I will go to the restautants when I can taste the typical italian food, go to the museums, walk the citys and know more talking with italian people.
I think I went whit my family, because I would like that they know this thing that I love.

Municipal theater of Santiago

The first time that I visited the building was when I was 12 years old. I went whit my mom and a friend and my mom said us that we had wore formal . She wanted that I knew this theater and some of the all showing of there, so she bought tichets for a ballet performance. Then, I didn't contemplate the architecture like today, thus I didn't take enough atention of the visual about the builging, but rather to my senses about it. First, the big size (monumental scale) of the building impress me and with that, I unterstood the importance of this place.

I like Theory

Since I become to study architecture, I thik really interesting the History class, or as someone names: Theory. And it's because I consider fundamental the constant quest of the architecture's sense and what the architects should do of it. Thus, the contents have some filosific trend, and I like this so much. Presonally, I thik the sense of all things it's worthy of recue and I love what since the begginning we have take aware of meaning of our future work, and how it had impacted  at society through time.

So, I value the Theory's contents, but I belive that the methodology that we use is not sufficiently effective because we have dedicated more than anything to analyze extracts of different writters, then show and share ideas. This take time to do it, a lot of times outside of classroom and I can't dedicate enough time, or the time I would like due to the workload.

I hope that in a short time I will be able to yield how I should like. Read us soon.

The lovers

 I remember when I was studing 2nd grade of secundary I went out with my friends to visit  museum and go over Santiago. One day we went to "Museo de Bellas artes" and there I looked for first time this painting named "The lovers". It attracted  my attention because with a few element, express a passion history. The author it's René Magritte, a belgian painter.

I stand out of this picture some simbolism. First, the red of the wall and dress say us that exist  a romance. Then, the sheet over their heads suggest a anonimate and the existence of a impediment to they express love publicly. So, us, the spectators can imagine different reasons about why the love that they feels shouldn,t be recognise. And last, I understand the blue wall how a sky of their parallel world, where they really loves one by one and have privacy

.

Precious photo

This photograph is very special for me, it was taken in February of this year and I have a lot of memories of this experience. The first thing that I remember is that it is from my holydays in Lican Ray, a small village whit a big lake named "Lago Calafquén". In the photograph we can see the lake and the big mountains that give to the place a different peace, a kind of mystic peace that you only can feel, so it's hard to me talk about how it makes me feel. Anyway, we also can see the boat and the trees waiting for the night at the beautiful sky of sunset.
What I appreciate most is that photo reminds me the inner peace that felt product of that harmony of nature, that thing is matchless. Also I appreciate that vacations because was the first time to I travel only with friends. So, it was a travel full of experiences and of course I appreciate the picture because it makes me remind all these good things that I forget sometimes by routine, make works, studying, and the fast life of Santiago, too far of that mystic peace that I talked.

My musical preference

Although I'm not in general a music lover, I enjoy more the spanish music that english music. And when I need feel  encourage better I usually hear the chilean band "Moral distraida". I meet they surfing on facebook and from then I follow them. This is a original band in the sense that they create a excellent mix of warm latin rhythms wich induce to dance and them letters do satires and laugh about the actual society. They combine styles like salsa, timba, hip-hop and reggeton, giving life a music deeply Latin American, but always from its chilean origin.

My favourite pleace in Santiago

I think that when I entered to FAU, I began to appreciate the neighborhood to encircle it. And to day one part of Santiago centro, specificaly the section between metro Baquedano and U. Católica has become my favoutite pleace. The reason because I like walk and look over  these fraction is its historic importance and how the buildings speak us about the importan activities , either culturals, academics, recreational, etc.Maybe all that have relation whit my history class. Besides I really like the parks, as much San Borja as Bustamante.  I am discovering more and more small places in my favourite splace now that I must come to the university all days. Usually I go to make croquis of this area and in general I go alone but sometimes I meet there whit friends or my mom because she work in front to Parque Bustamante.

       

Sou Fujimoto

Hi Blogger!

I come to tell you about an interesting young architect. He is Sou Fujimoto and he's from Japan. One of lasts proyect that he does it's the second Architectural Folie of  the century XXI. He is recognized for his special creative skill. He says in a intervew that his inspitartion born in the link concept of nature and the  artificial builds. He has designed an amazing pavilion where represent a visual composition. I think, his work is like a monumental art.

I found him when I was looking for enjoy's builds and I really liked how he put up geometrically but whit a concept of nature. And I like too his minimalistic style.

I'm eighteen years old. I'm mechona of architecture in Fau and I love this career more and more. Also, I love a lot of things like sweet food with capuccino, sushi,  the south of Chile, woke up early, go out and conect whith nature, see movies lean back, have goods conversations, and all that small pleasures...
